Free Will

Maybe you've chosen to ponder this verse
Which certainly conjures the question
Of whether our fates are by nature coerced
And we live in a state of oppression
Or whether we choose between better and worse
And free will permits true expression
I have to admit that I fear the reverse
Which, if true, means that fear is predestined
A part of me hopes that a quantum dark horse
Will end this debate in mid session
But I will still have my aversion, of course
To owning my frequent transgressions
